Hi! I'm Sarah
I create site-specific fiber art installations from unwanted items...
rescued from the back of your closet.
Once unraveled, I begin the process of blending it with other yarns, fabrics, or found objects to give life to the things that we have forgotten and abandoned.
I find inspiration by taking familiar objects and presenting them in unfamiliar ways, thereby creating dissonance and demanding her audience to reconsider their notions of reality. Her interactive artwork engages her audience emotionally and mentally, as well as physically.
